Cookie Policy

How and why Zavo LTD uses cookies and similar technologies across our website and dashboard.

Last updated 5 June 2026

The short version

Cookies are small files that let our site work, keep you signed in, power Intercom sales/support chat, and — with your permission — help us measure and improve it. Strictly necessary and Intercom Messenger cookies are always on; analytics and marketing cookies only run if you agree, and you can change your mind at any time.

01

About this policy

This Cookie Policy explains how Zavo LTD (Zavo, we, us or our) uses cookies and similar technologies on our website and the Zavo dashboard (together, the Service). It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains more about how we handle personal data and your rights under UK data protection law.

02

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They let a site remember your actions and preferences over time. We also use similar technologies — such as local storage, pixels and software development kits (SDKs) — and we refer to all of these as "cookies" in this policy. Cookies may be set by us (first-party) or by a third party whose service we use (third-party), and they may last only for your session or persist for a set period.

03

How we use cookies

We use cookies to run the Service securely, keep you signed in, remember your preferences, provide sales and support chat through Intercom, and — where you allow it — to understand how the site is used and improve it. We group the cookies we use into these categories:

04

Categories of cookies we use

Strictly necessaryAlways on

Let you sign in, keep your account secure, and remember your cookie choices. The Service can't work properly without these, so they don't require consent.

Support & sales chatAlways on

Load Intercom Messenger, let you start a sales or support conversation, and preserve the conversation state across pages.

FunctionalConsent required

Remember preferences — like language or region — so we can personalise your experience.

Analytics & performanceConsent required

Help us understand how the site is used, in aggregate, so we can measure and improve it.

MarketingConsent required

Measure our campaigns and show more relevant content. These only run if you opt in.

Strictly necessary cookies and Intercom sales/support chat cookies are set automatically. We set preference, analytics and marketing cookies only where you give consent, and you can change your choice at any time (see Managing your cookies below).

05

Examples of cookies

  • Authentication & session — set when you sign in to keep you logged in and protect your account (strictly necessary).
  • Security — help protect against cross-site request forgery and abuse (strictly necessary).
  • Consent preferences — remember the cookie choices you've made (strictly necessary).
  • Intercom Messenger — provide sales/support chat and preserve conversation state across pages (always on).
  • Analytics — measure aggregate usage of the website so we can improve it (consent required).
06

Third-party cookies

Some cookies may be set by third parties that provide services on our behalf — for example Intercom for sales/support chat, analytics providers, or embedded content such as videos. These providers set their own cookies under their own policies, and we don't control them. Intercom Messenger may load immediately where enabled; other non-essential third-party cookies only run once you've consented.

07

Managing your cookies

You're in control of non-essential cookies. You can:

  • Set your preferences in our cookie banner when you first visit, and reopen it at any time to change them.
  • Manage or delete cookies through your browser settings — most browsers let you block or clear cookies.
  • Use any opt-out tools offered by third-party providers.

Blocking strictly necessary or Intercom Messenger cookies may stop parts of the Service from working — for example, you may not be able to stay signed in or continue a support conversation. Withdrawing consent doesn't affect cookies already used before you changed your mind.

08

“Do Not Track” signals

Some browsers can send a "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signal. There isn't yet a common industry standard for how to respond to these, so we rely on the cookie controls described above to manage your preferences. If that changes, we'll update this policy.

09

Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time as our use of cookies changes. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it was last revised. If we make material changes, we'll make this clear — for example through the cookie banner or a notice on the site.
